It’s almost that time of year to plant your garden! I have been doing a lot of research this year on gardening. This is only my 2nd year having one. I had a beautiful garden last summer that fed 10 people wonderful veggies all summer long. I couldn’t help but look over at my neighbors garden every day and envy all of his raised beds. From what I could see he has about 10. So this year I decided to do a little research on the benefits of a raised bed. This is what I found.
- More control over the location of the garden
- You can choose to buy Organic soil
- More efficient draining
- Easier on your back and knees due to less bending and stooping
- Easier to weed
- The soil warms up quicker so you can start your garden earlier
Although, there are a few negatives as well.
- Can be more expensive to get started
- Require’s careful planning, you need to make sure you can reach the plants in the middle of the raised bed.
- Because raised beds drain so well, they will need to be watered more often
This year I wont be changing over to raised beds. So as I am trying to keep the rabbits from eating my plants and while I am breaking my back and knee’s I will still silently stare at and envy my neighbors beautiful raised beds.
Don’t let that be you this summer! Give the Grunts a call @ 1-844-478-6874 let them build you your raised beds so you can have the garden you always dreamed of, while saving your back and knee’s!
